 My first journey to Sri Pada was a very special experience in my life. I went there with my brother and some of my friends. We started our journey at night with great excitement. The path was long and challenging, but we helped each other along the way. 💙 As we climbed higher, the air became cooler and fresher. We saw many other pilgrims walking with faith and determination. There were small shops on the way where we could rest and have tea. Even though we felt tired, we did not give up. Finally, we reached the top early in the morning. Watching the sunrise from the peak was one of the most beautiful moments I have ever seen.🌄 It made me feel peaceful and happy.😁 This journey with my brother and friends became a wonderful memory that I will always cherish. 💕

  The Sinhala and Tamil New Year is one of the most important festivals in Sri Lanka. 🙏It is usually celebrated in April and marks the traditional new year for both Sinhalese and Tamil people. This festival is based on the movement of the sun from Pisces to Aries. Families clean their homes and prepare for the new year with happiness. People follow special rituals at auspicious times, such as lighting the hearth and cooking milk rice. Traditional foods like kavum, kokis, and sweets are prepared in every home. Children wear new clothes and receive gifts from elders. Games like tug of war and pillow fighting bring joy to everyone. Relatives and friends visit each other and share meals together. It is a time for forgiveness, unity, and new beginnings. The Sinhala and Tamil New Year brings happiness, peace, and prosperity to all Sri Lankans.
